2025 Rooster Race - Rosé

Made from a blend of three varietals from Weinbau Vineyard; Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. All of these were picked on the same day, we destemmed and macerated them together in tank before draining. We also used Syrah, Grenache and Viognier from Gamache Vineyard that was picked the same day and destemmed together to macerate before pressing. The portion from Weinbau was fermented in barrel and the Gamache part was fermented in stainless steel.

A vibrant nose of strawberry jam, guava, caramelized citrus and spring flowers. The palate is ripe, with red fruits, citrus, sweet melon and a hint of spun sugar. The wine is juicy with a silky texture and a vibrant pithy finish.

Varietal Composition: 35% Syrah (64% Gamache Vineyard White Bluffs AVA, 36% Weinbau Vineyard, Wahluke Slope AVA)

32% Grenache (61% Gamache Vineyard White Bluffs AVA, 39% Weinbau Vineyard, Wahluke Slope AVA)

29% Mourvèdre (100% Weinbau Vineyard, Wahluke Slope AVA)

4% Viognier (100% Gamache Vineyard, White Bluffs AVA)

Fermentation: 50% Barrel fermented, 50% Stainless steel

Aging: 7 months in 50% French oak

AVA: Columbia Valley AVA, Washington

Alcohol: 13.8%
